Video projects have been an exciting way to collaborate with live music situations. I started collecting old video gear in 2018 as a way to add a visual element to my own solo sets, but as interest grew, there has been more opportunity to provide visuals for others. My approach has similarities with how I create music, and often times the same techniques apply. I have always related collecting and manipulating video clips is like sampling and manipulating music, its visual a “collage” instead of an audible one. Experiments are ongoing.
