Had a beautiful day outside today. Started my day later than usual because I slept in a bit, but there was an exciting package in the mail which definitely got me going once it arrived. New handlebar day ride and then photo adventures in other neighborhoods.

Bullmoose bars on the bomber! Super fun to ride with the oversized grips.

Rode around the greenway for a couple hours then rested at this secret spot before I headed out.

I noticed this chunk of broken windshield in the parking lot when I was packing up. I’m so curious what went down here!

I had a bunch of time to kill after my ride so I headed over to Madison to see if any photo opportunities popped up.

I have passed this building many times before. The outdated architecture and railing always intrigued me. The sun was at a nice angle for this quick snapshot.

I kept heading north and stopped at a local hispanic market. The large bass on a pole is so wonderful.

Lots of colorful piñatas inside the market.

While sitting in my car, a young grocery worker passed by hauling a case of topo chico on his back. Those glass bottles aren’t very light!

I headed further north into Hendersonville. Driving around a bit I passed near this abandoned putt-putt golf area with a wild looking mini castle near the fence.

The sun was going down so I headed towards the nearby lake. I noticed a cat walking around an apartment building on the way so I stopped to see if I could pet it! (I did not succeed.)

An unsettling secret message?

Just enough sunlight left to snap this happy mallard in the lake.

Pro tip: if you’re ever tired of your neighborhood, do not hesitate to explore neighboring towns. Be a tourist and have fun!
